Exchange on cross-border cooperation between Romania, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova
The Chairman of the Working Community of the Danube Regions, Vadym Shkarivskyi, took part in the event organized by the Union of Ukrainians in Romania (Uniunea Ucrainenilor din Romania).

The future of cross-border cooperation
The event was dedicated to the issues of increasing the efficiency of local government activities, developing the institutional capacity of communities, deepening cross-border cooperation between Romania, Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, attracting European funding and implementing joint regional development projects. Participation in the event provided an opportunity to present the interests of the Odesa Region, discuss current issues of cross-border cooperation development and establish working contacts with representatives of local governments, public organizations and other stakeholders.
Separate participation as a speaker in the session „Institutional Cooperation and Community Development in the European Context“ provided an opportunity to discuss the role of local governments in the formation of sustainable cross-border partnerships and the possibility of using European instruments for the development of territorial communities.
Participation in the conference confirmed the importance of further developing systemic cross-border interaction between the Odesa Region and the regions of Romania and the Republic of Moldova, primarily in terms of joint preparation of international projects, attracting European funding, exchanging management experience, and implementing practical initiatives aimed at the socio-economic development of communities.
